Wendy Bodiford
Wendy Bodiford serves as Founder and President of Compass Community Services, providing visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to advance the organization’s mission and long-term impact. She brings a strong commitment to community empowerment, organizational excellence, and sustainable systems that support underserved individuals and organizations. With over 20 years of experience spanning both public and private sectors, nonprofit development, and business strategy, Wendy holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Her professional background includes extensive experience in policy, compliance, workforce development, program design, and organizational transformation, with a proven ability to build scalable, mission-aligned initiatives. Driven by a passion for service and community-centered solutions, Wendy founded Compass Community Services to help individuals, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations turn ideas into sustainable impact. Her leadership emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and measurable outcomes that strengthen communities and create pathways to long-term economic and social stability.

Board Chairman
Stephen L.M. Caldwell
Stephen L. M. Caldwell serves as Board Chairman, providing strategic leadership and financial oversight to support the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability. He brings a strong background in residential lending, leadership, and community-focused banking. Professionally, Stephen is a Mortgage Loan Development & Originator with Centennial Bank and previously served as a Branch Manager with Truist Bank and MidSouth Bank. In these roles, he led high-performing teams, championed small business development, and delivered strategic financial solutions that supported individuals and local organizations. Beyond banking, Stephen has served on multiple nonprofit boards, contributing his leadership and financial expertise to advance community initiatives. He is widely recognized for his client-centered approach, collaborative leadership style, and passion for helping individuals, families, and businesses build sustainable financial futures.

Director
LaShonda Mathis
LaShonda Mathis serves as a Director with a deep passion for community empowerment and service. She brings thoughtful insight, collaborative leadership, and a strong commitment to advancing initiatives that create meaningful and lasting outcomes for the communities served by the organization. With more than 15 years of experience in education, LaShonda has supported local grassroots initiatives through extensive volunteering and community service with nonprofit organizations across Georgia. Her work reflects a strong dedication to underserved communities and youth, grounded in equity, mentorship, and opportunity. In 2025, LaShonda was recognized as District Teacher of the Year within her community. Her demonstrated leadership, compassion, and commitment to helping others serve as core strengths in her role on the Board of Directors of Compass Community Services.

T. Jenkins
Talisa Jenkins serves as a Director with a strong commitment to community empowerment and social justice. She brings valuable insight, lived experience, and a collaborative approach to advancing initiatives that support vulnerable populations. With more than 15 years of dedicated service in diverse community initiatives, Talisa has extensive experience supporting individuals and families through housing stability, food security, and access to community resources. She has volunteered with numerous nonprofit organizations, with a particular focus on individuals experiencing homelessness and single mothers. Talisa’s commitment to advocacy and community-centered solutions directly supports the mission of Compass Community Services to empower individuals and communities through education, strategic guidance, and access to critical resources. In her role on the Board of Directors, she collaborates with fellow members to support responsible resource allocation, program development, and initiatives that promote economic stability, housing security, and long-term community resilience.
